Javier Abarca és probablement el pensador sobre art urbà més influent del panorama nacional. Suma un coneixement directe i profund de la matèria amb un sentit crític i estètic que el converteixen en un referent imprescindible per a qualsevol que vulgui aprofundir a la matèria. Professor universitari, fomenta també l’accés al coneixement crític sobre art urbà a través d’una sèrie de conferències gratuïtes a Tabacalera (Madrid).

The influential role of Javier Abarca (Madrid, 1973) in the urban art scene goes back to the eighties. Since mid 2000, is devoted exclusively to research and divulgation of urban art. He runs since 2006 a monographic art course on urban in the Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University Complutense of Madrid. Maintains Urbanario, an online platform, the main reference in the field in Spanish.
